     Cold region technology and others Article papers are refereed by two reviewers,
     printed in proceedings, and opened in the Symposium website as Okhotsk Sea
     and Polar Oceans Research (OSPOR), Vol. 9 (2025).
   

CALL FOR PAPERS 

 I. Short Summary for classification to make up the program
           Authors should submit a short summary of 100 - 200 words by 29 November 2024.

  

 II. Final Manuscript for the Proceedings (Max 4 pages, Camera-ready)
            Manuscript should be sent to momsys@okhotsk-mombetsu.jp by 14 January 2025.
           The instructions are on the Symposium website.

 OFFICIAL LANGUAGE of the Symposium will be English. Japanese is available for Workshop and citizen
               programs. No simultaneous translation services.

THE AOTA MASAAKI AWARD IN 2025

 The award was established in 2014 to honor the memory of the late Professor Masaaki Aota by presenting an award to the best presentation(s) by young scientist(s). Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • 1)The presenter is under 40 years of age.
  • 2)The abstract must be published in the Proceedings of the International Symposium on Okhotsk Sea & Polar Oceans.
  • 3)Candidates have to be nominated by themselves or by someone else.
  • 4)Candidates have not previously been given the Aota Masaaki Award.
  • 5)Candidates have to attend the prize-awarding ceremony.

COSTS

    • Registration: General: 5,000-Yen, Students: 1,000-Yen         
    • Printed Proceedings: 5,000 yen
    • Dinner party:
      • 1. Memorial Reception (Banquet), Sun 16 Feb.  at Mombetsu Citizens’ Hall 5,000-JPY
      • 2. Dinner Party with Volunteer Groups, Tue 18 Feb. at Hotel Okhotsk Palace 4,000-JPY

TRANSPORTATION                               

    • Tokyo (Haneda) to Mombetsu (1 h 50 min): 1 flight/day
    • Sapporo to Mombetsu (4 h 40 min): 4 buses/day
    • Memanbetsu Airport (4 flights from Haneda) to Mombetsu: 2 hours by car
